Dani McGhee-Barlow was born and raised in Memphis, TN. Her mission and purpose is to reach and save the lost, so that they may experience God’s favor. Dani, best known as D.McGhee, is a fresh, live, energetic, contemporary artist; a breath of fresh air in the gospel entertainment sector.

Dani McGhee-Barlow began singing gospel music at the age of five. From talent shows to shows, she began singing with the Tennessee Mass Choir which afforded her the opportunity to travel the world by the age of eight. Not long after, she moved on to co-find the Stellar Award nominee choir, Darrel Petties and Strength in Praise. She also recorded with independent group Changed, who won the Gospel Bridge Award for Best Group in Memphis, TN in 2007.

Dani McGhee-Barlow has sung background music for many local, as well as national recording artists such as: Karen Clark Sheard, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, James Moore,Jennifer Holiday, Ted Winn, Sherry Jones-Moffitt, Maranda Curtis, Kurt Carr and many more.

In 2011, Dani McGhee-Barlow had the opportunity to open for two great national recording artists, Mali Music and Tye Tribbett. Dani released her first mixed tape under the production of Key of D Production/DMG Universal record. She released her first mixtape on June 19, 2012 and released her first music video entitled Holy Ghost on April 12, 2014. The music video Holy Ghost has been shown on both Centric and Inspire channels. She recently just released her album titled Unveiled on August 9, 2019.

 Dani McGhee Barlow is now the founder of SAFE PLACE. It was established in 2019. She also has her own clothing line called YET!StillHere that started in 2022.

 Dani McGhee-Barlow is the proud mother of three sons, Peyton Barlow, Quincy Barlow, and Quinten Barlow Jr. Dani McGhee-Barlow brings her own unique style, yet remains dedicated to the calling on her life to spread the love of Christ.
